By boat to Catajo Castle

The boat tour I propose you is an authentic experience with four gondoliers of the local rowing club and a Venetian traditional wood boat (caorlina). This hilly area is entirely surrounded by waterways. In the past, the stone extracted from the local quarries was shipped along these canals toward Venice in order to pave the Saint Mark’s Square, quaysides and roads.

Not only goods, but also people travelled by water. Our departure is from the Catajo castle and we will imagine for one hour being one of the Venetian and Paduan noblemen that travelled along our canals to reach their summer residences built in this area.

At the and of the boat tour, we go back for the guided visit of the Catajo castle.
