The territory of the Euganean Hills Natural Park has been a destination for travelers since the time of the Grand Tour, thanks to the presence of the Spa and Petrarca’s house in Arquà. During the Renaissance period, the Euganean Hills became a popular destination for vacations with the construction of Venetian villas, and during the Enlightenment, botanists, geologists, naturalists and poets frequented these places, attracted by the environmental peculiarities.
Self-guided tour of Catajo Castle, Villa Selvatico, the Valsanzibio Garden, or Villa dei Vescovi. Available daily upon request: our minivan will pick you up from your hotel at your preferred time and take you to one of the four villas of your choice. You’ll have a couple of hours to explore the site on your own before being taken back to your hotel
We will pick you up at your hotel in Abano or Montegortto Terme. Possibility to organize the appointment at the Terme Euganee Abano-Montegrotto train station or at another specific point on request.

If you have booked a guided tour you can find one of the following professional figures based on the type of experience chosen:
- Cycling Guide: they can plan the best route according to the client’s needs, accompany a group safely and solve mechanical problems. They know the territory they illustrate the general aspects of the places crossed.
- Trekking Guide: our trekking guides are professionals who safely accompany individuals or groups by illustrating the naturalistic and general aspects of the territory.
- Tourist Guide: these are historical-artistic guides with regular qualification. They illustrate and enhance the historical, cultural, artistic, religious, museum, archaeological and architectural heritage of the territory.
- Tour Escort: this figure is used to accompany large groups or some excursions in minivan. The escort is responsible for the regular execution of the program. Supervises and coordinates services in order to guarantee the best experience for the customer. Knows the territory and provides general information on the places visited.
NAVIGATION APP
For all our self-guided tours we provide a Navigation App full of content and practical information on the chosen routes.
You will need to download the app from your store and create a free account. You will then receive a link where you can download the routes to use offline. In addition to the possibility of navigating using a voice assistant, you will find all the points of interest geolocalized such as sites and monuments to visit, stops at the winery or restaurants selected by us and in general all the useful suggestions to transform your day into an authentic experience of the territory.
OPENINGS OF SITES AND MONUMENTS
Some tours include visits to sites, villas or other attractions. Due to internal needs of individual properties, it may sometimes happen that the opening days and hours may vary. If the entrance is specifically included in the package, we will verify whether the day you have chosen is compatible with the visit. If the entrance is not included in the package, it is responsibility of guests to verify the opening days and hours of the sites you intend to visit.
