WEEKEND AT THE EUGANEAN HILLS THERMAL DISTRICT
Self-guided 3-day, 2-night tour
DAY 1 – ARRIVAL
Arrival in the afternoon and check-in at the thermal hotel. For those arriving early, there may be the option for a first swim in the pool before dinner.
DAY 2 – MONSELICE AND ARQUÀ PETRARCA (40 km)
Bike delivery and departure for the first excursion. You will reach Battaglia Terme, an ancient river port, and Monselice, the walled city. A pleasant detour from the Euganean Hills bike path will lead you to the charming Arquà Petrarca, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, where you can taste the famous *Brodo di Giuggiole* (jujube liqueur) at a local wine shop. The next stop is a winery along the Euganean Hills Wine Route to learn about the production, winemaking, and aging of the volcanic wines of the Euganean Hills. A tasting of 4 wines paired with typical Venetian products: cold cuts, cheeses, and locally produced extra virgin olive oil will follow. The return route will take you near the Lispida Castle estate, a historic residence that hosts important wine cellars. From the hill behind the castle, trachyte, the Euganean stone used to pave Piazza San Marco in Venice, was once extracted.
DAY 3 – PRAGLIA AND VILLA DEI VESCOVI (30 km)
Check-out after breakfast and set off on the bike again. The route leads you to the Catajo Castle, the royal residence of the Euganean Hills, the most visited private villa in Veneto. You will then discover the prestigious Villa dei Vescovi, a noble residence inspired by classical themes. The itinerary passes through the Praglia Abbey, where monks pray, work, and restore ancient books. Return to the hotel in the afternoon for a swim in the thermal pool or time to relax in the hotel’s SPA.

In addition to the possibility of navigating using a voice assistant, you will find all the points of interest geolocalized such as sites and monuments to visit, stops at the winery or restaurants selected by us and in general all the useful suggestions to transform your day into an authentic experience of the territory.

Some tours include visits to sites, villas or other attractions. Due to internal needs of individual properties, it may sometimes happen that the opening days and hours may vary. If the entrance is specifically included in the package, we will verify whether the day you have chosen is compatible with the visit. If the entrance is not included in the package, it is responsibility of guests to verify the opening days and hours of the sites you intend to visit.
