PROGRAM:
After the bike delivery you will follow the cycle ring from Battaglia Terme, along the embankment of the Canale Battaglia, to the walled city of Monselice where it is worth visiting the Santuario delle 7 Chiesette on foot and enjoying the beautiful view that opens up over the plain. A photo of the Ezzelini tower of the Castle and the statues of the Dwarves (read the signs to find out who they were) is a must. Resume your ride and approach Arquà Petrarca, considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. It is possible to see the Tomb and visit the House of the Poet Francesco Petrarca and taste the famous Brodo di giuggiole, the delicious local liqueur. Leaving Arquà behind you, on the downhill road, you will notice the Laghetto della Costa, a thermal lake that is a UNESCO site. Finally you will reach the estate of the Castello di Lispida. From the Lispida hill the trachyte, the gray volcanic stone used to pave the fields and streets of Venice, was extracted and transported for many centuries along the waterways to Venice. Return to the bike rental shop, end of services.
